Google has announced new security measures. From 2026, it will be possible to install only applications from verified developers on certified Android devices, according to the 9to5Google portal. The initiative will affect not only the Google Play store, where similar rules have been in effect since 2023, but also third-party app stores, as well as manually installed APK files.
